How long does the application process take? +
From first contact to receiving your Invitation Letter typically takes 2–6 weeks. Visa processing adds another 1–3 weeks. We recommend starting the process at least 2–3 months before the intended enrollment date.
Do I need to visit Ukraine in person to apply? +
No. The entire pre-arrival process — document submission, application, and receiving the Invitation Letter — can be completed remotely. You only travel to Ukraine once your visa is approved and you're ready to enroll.
What type of visa do I need to study in Ukraine? +
You need a Type D (long-stay) Student Visa, which is obtained from the Ukrainian Embassy or Consulate in your home country. You'll need your Invitation Letter, passport, photos, medical certificate, and application form. After arrival, you register at the university and apply for a Temporary Residence Permit.

Most international students live in university dormitories, which cost $30–100/month and are located on or near campus. Private apartments are available for $150–400/month depending on city. Kyiv is most expensive; Kharkiv, Sumy, and Ternopil are very affordable.
