Overview
After helping hundreds of students apply for scholarships, here is what actually works: early applications with strong motivation letters and complete documentation. The students who fail mostly make the same mistakes — applying late, weak motivation letters, or missing documents.
The application process varies by scholarship type. Ukrainian Government Scholarship goes through the Ministry of Education. University merit scholarships are applied for during the admissions process. Bilateral scholarships go through your home government.
The most valuable thing we can tell you: apply for multiple scholarships simultaneously. A student applying for 3 scholarship types is 3× more likely to receive funding than one who applies for just one and waits for the result.

❓ FAQ
What is the most important document in a scholarship application? +
The motivation letter. It should be specific about your goals, why Ukraine, why this university and what you plan to do after graduating. Generic letters fail. Specific, personal stories succeed.
How many recommendation letters do I need? +
Typically 2 letters — ideally from your school principal and a subject teacher in your strongest subject. Letters should be on official letterhead with contact details.
What documents need apostille? +
Your secondary school certificate, birth certificate, and sometimes your police clearance certificate. Start the apostille process as early as possible — it takes 2–4 weeks in most countries.
How do I track my application status? +
Contact the scholarship office directly 2–3 weeks after submission. We also follow up on behalf of our students — just keep us informed of your submission details.
